This was a family session to celebrate baby Wesley’s first birthday.
It’s such a joy to document these precious moments and milestones in a child’s life, and I was thrilled to be part of this special day.
Focusing on the Little One
I love the simplicity in these photos with the focus entirely on the baby.
We start the portraits with him alone, showcasing his adorable expressions and playful personality, and then transition to heartwarming images of him with Mom and Dad.
The classic baby outfit was from my client’s wardrobe, adding a timeless touch that complemented the overall aesthetic of the session.
The Cake Smash Moment
After the portraits, we let baby Wesley smash his cake, and you can tell how much he enjoyed it—he dove right in, giggling and covering himself in frosting. The joy on his face, as he tasted the sweet treat, was priceless and made for some truly memorable photographs.
In the end, he had a little bath time with Mom and Dad to clean up all the mess, and those candid moments of laughter and splashing made for some delightful shots.
A Joyful Experience
The session lasted about 90 minutes and was an absolute blast! Every second was filled with laughter and love, and it was clear that this family cherishes every moment together. Looking back at the images, I can see how much the bonds between them shine through. Capturing these beautiful interactions is what I love most about my work. Each photograph tells a unique story, preserving the fleeting moments of childhood that families can treasure for generations to come. I can’t wait to share the final images with them!
